SOCIAL DISTORTION sex love rnr

is it really worth getting? I saw that it was out and was afraid to even look at it. The first time I saw them live was in 1988, so when I saw a new album out I didn't know if I should be happy or scared to hear what they're sounding like now. I'll check it out if you like it though.

Well, I liked them back in the day...about the same time as you...88. I am 30 now but was a young skateboarder at the time I got turned on to them. "Another State of Mind" was on tv and Mommy's Little Monster was the first album of theirs I got...so I have kind of "grown up" with them. I like the evolution of the band. They went from the straight punk thing to more of a rock/country/punk/rockabilly thing which I love. If you liked the albums like PRISON BOUND then you would love this...or Ball And Chain...those kind of songs...but the difference on this album is that instead of lyrics that are pretty much about being miserable, this album is more about how love can save you....but still in a very "tough" way. Not lovey dovey...I compare Mike Ness to a modern day Johnny Cash. I love it. I haven't gone a day without playing it all the way through since I bought it the day it came out.
