SODOM: DVD To Surface In March, Studio Album To Follow In August

"Veteran German thrashers SODOM are tentatively scheduled to release their first DVD in March 2005. According to SODOM frontman Thomas "Angelripper" Such, the DVD's concert footage will will contain 23 songs. An overview of the band's career thus far and additional bonus features will also appear on the disc. "Such a giant DVD we make only once in a lifetime, so I don't want to make compromises in quality and completeness," Angelripper had previously said. "But you'll not be disappointed, the DVD will be the absolute hammer, I promise!"

SODOM are expected to enter the studio in early 2005 to begin recording their new album, tentatively due in August 2005."

Add this new album to my "most anticipated for 2005" list...

Yeah, but a beast like The Antichrist is something that only comes along once in a band's career. Metal Discharge was a bit of a disappointment, but it was still Perfectly Acceptable Eurothrash.

All Hell Breaks Loose, which preceded Antichrist, is an underrated album.
