The only connection i have with RUN DMC was in the 80's, when they did the WALK THIS WAY song with areosmyth. I did like that song by the originators, and i still lik etheir 70's stuff.

It was Jam Master Jay, the DJ, not one of the rappers. He was shot in the head at a recording studio. Not exactly something to find funny, when all the bands you like, also have to go into a recording studio. Run DMC was one of the very few rap acts I actually respected. They weren't gangsta, or any of that crap. They never rapped about violence, & some of their songs were pretty damn funny. I wouldn't exactly call myself a fan, but I liked some of their songs.
I hated their "Walk This Way"...It brought Aerosmith back, & they started recording sappy Hollywood movie themes.
