The Sublime...
harpies pull against this current,
tendrals befoul still darkened waters,
sinking, the ship keels toward the north,
down and into depths untold, deeper than heaven.
God is in this liquid, he drowns and baptised,
raises his fist to smash us to splinters,
sublime unnatural, so beautiful -
the devestation and the aftermath.
Into the pitch black and below,
all that came before diluted,
the enslaved devour their captors,
none of them will see heaven -
None of us can ever see heaven.
Atrocity so seductive,
to be damned for a millenia more,
Eden is lost admist a crashing tidal tantrum.
Nature swallows that which gods cannot.
Deafened by bellows of beasts,
the carrion is ripe,
humanity rots in the sun,
a dissolution of eternity -
trickles away in the blinking of an eye.
The great eye closes,
turns away,
and we are forgotten,
like so much dust, and so many dreams.
