Hellow :)
Have some questions again and hope someone know the answers :)

1 - Where I can find and buy new high quality transformers for Peavey 6505, to reduce gain hiss on high clock gain stages ?

2 - What is better cabinet from this two 4x12 Cabinets ?
First : B-52 ST-412 - http://www.musiciansfriend.com/prod...Cabinet-with-Celestion-Vintage-30s?sku=602079
Second : Line 6 Spider Valve - http://www.musiciansfriend.com/prod...S-4x12-240W-Guitar-Speaker-Cabinet?sku=605504

Both two cabinets are loaded with Vintage 30's , just can't understand what would be better

Clever idea about the transformers, the 6505 is incredibly fucking noisy. It's one of the reasons I sold mine - no noise reduction on the planet, not even ISP Decimator is totally effective with this amp. That said, I have no idea if that's the source of the problem or if replacing them would fix it.

You want to replace the transformers in a 6505 to get better tone, and then you ask about bottom-of-the-barrel cabinets?

Take the money you want to spend on transformers, and instead invest in a GREAT cabinet... VHT, Bogner, ENGL, Orange, etc.

Both FJA and Voodoo recommend Mercury Magnetics. Shit is expensive as fuck though.

I don't think Jerry P. hangs here often but I know he popped in for a bit at one point. I really want to hear his noise reduction mod in the 5150.

You can see it here:

You can see all of his mods for the 5150 here:

The Line 6 Spider Valve cabinet is FAR from a bottom of the barrel cabinet. Vintage 30 Celestions, quality woods...Probably Chinese made, but they are made pretty much exactly like a Bogner cab...Which would make sense seeing how A.) The Spider Valves have a Bogner designed power amp and B.) Line 6's Chinese factory makes the Bogner Alchemist series of amps.

I've played both a Bogner and the Line 6 Spider Valve cabs and they are pretty close in sound and almost identical in structure.

There are a few better transformer out there but it depends on which country you live in??

I live in country, where isn't any service of peavey or something near it, the only way I can go is ordering from USA.

Interesting, where can I get bias modded peavey 6505, to decrease hiss and make clean channel much better?
