maybe im reading this wrong, but didnt they lose money themselves by using the least expensive change rate? because the more money that exchanges hands, the higher their fee. right? wrong? go listen to graveland?

here's my recent PP story. a person bought a VHS from me for $10.50. I shipped it. She claimed she never received it after 3 weeks. she filed an "issue" with PP because she wanted her money back. i said "fuck it, that's fine", but PP ended up siding with me. HAHA, I KEPT YOUR MONEY!

when will people understand this: I am not fucking responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail, you fuck.

haha, you're right, they did get less of a fee.

I always do delivery confirmation and insurance to avoid mishaps. Well, insurance on something expensive, not some $2 CD.

thier fees are pretty damn high
if we sell a cd for £8 paypal gets about 50p of it
thats before the currency exchange charge
and you need to wait till theres £50 or more in there to transfer to a bank or another chunk comes off

of course its great to have the service and the convienience
but its hard to keep costs down

They still do this. I haven't sold anything internationally, but I buy things all the time. When I purchase something listed in GBP, Norwegian Krone, etc. I calculate it with an online currency converter and then when I go to pay it is ALWAYS substantially more due to Paypal's conversion rate. I think I paid $12 more for a large order the other day because of this. WTH?
