so chris, byron and i went to this bar tonight in southington CT called Sam the Clam's. It was a seafood themed place with fish deocrations on the wall and a big deck out back for over the summer.

however, all the tv's were tuned either to Country Music Television or bull riding and alot of the clientele were dressed like cowboys and talked with southern accents. southern accents in southington fucking connecticut! last i checked we are nowhere near the Mason-Dixon line.
 
Yeah, you have to specify... was it a strictly southern accent, or was it just a hick accent? They are often mistaken as being the same thing, because many southeners have both. You can still sound like a NASCAR driver and not be from the South, provided you had the necessary upbringing.
