Song Of The Day

I woke up in the middle of the forest today, around 5am. The dew covering my tent had not permeated yet, but still a chill air was created. As I roll out of my sleeping bag feeling filthy yet pure and one with nature, what song was stuck in my head?

Linkin Park - Crawling

:Puke:

Okay well then two night ago I couldn't get this out of my head:

Hammers of Misfortune - The August Engine part 1

I heard it over and over again the whole time I had my HoM beanie on, it must have mystical powers of persuasion. :hypno:

Megiddo - The Oath

Megiddo play "unholy hateful black pentagram metal"......"evil is its own reward"

Am I evil? Yes I am. :dopey:

Neurosis - Bridges.... this 12 minute monster is probably the oddest and most challenging Neurosis song to date.... first half is a wierd combination of a quickly played snare-bass-bass triplet drum beat, keyboard effects that occasionaly make the song seem fucked up (kinda like the end of stones from the sky), piano and vocals, before all of a sudden the ugliest, heaviest, and most distorted guitar you will ever hear roars in, the song drops to a quiet void, wierd keys and drums, before that frightening guitar roars in all of a sudden again, then repeats the quiet section, the guitar returns once again and doesnt let up till the end, where the song gains a bit of momentum.... nary a hook to be found, this is certainly advanced listeining.... and the immense and spooky atmosphere and emotion it creates is highly rewarding.

Neurosis - Shelter.... forgive me for sounding like a total pussy, but this song is so fucking beautiful it made me cry. paticularly the first minute or so. hands down, THE best instrumental ive ever heard as well as one of the most emotional pieces of music ever.

Drudkh - Sunwheel

How funny that this song fits today perfectly, being overcast. I didn't realize this was track 3's name until just now. :loco:

Neurosis - Through Silver In Blood (title track)

The intro to that song and how it slowly creeps in to bludgeon you to death. Fucking brilliant.
definately. that is the first neurosis song i heard and it immediately got me into them. it all of a sudden came on my personalized Yahoo! Launch radio station.... and i was like O....M...G..... what is THIS???? I was shocked and blown away at the sheer heaviness, oppressiveness, and darkness of the whole thing.
