It's probably really great, but I'm too ashamed to go to that gay place inside of me where I could really revel in it. I love the melodies and pomp, but the lyrics are just so embarrassingly direct and earnest.

This album has never really grabbed me much, but now that I at least know that there's a notable song on it, I'll make a point to notice that next time, and maybe that'll give me a point to latch onto the whole thing.

I love the non-metal Dream Sequencer album, but was never really feeling it on this one.

Totally agree with The Spirit Carries On - I've never even owned a Dream Theater album, but I had the Scenes From A Memory live VHS a few years back (picked it up out of sheer curiosity after hearing a bootleg live MP3 of Fatal Tragedy and rather liking it), and that song always made me go a big rubbery one.
