Sony Recalling Certain CDs

Don't know about you all, but I think it couldn't have happened to a nicer company. I love the fact that the class action lawsuits are happening against a company that treats their customers like shit.

And the major labels wonder why people flocked like moths to a light bulb to MP3 sources such as Napster.

i have the loa cd too. it's signed, so they aren't getting it back.

Mine too. I don't want to give it back but at the same time I want to know more about the software to repair what damage might have been done. Such a pain in the ass.

well I guess this is what I get for buying the foo fighters new cd. What do I do if I have on of these cds

What I love about this whole mess is that Sony is "graciously" (sarcasm implied) offering to exchange the discs with versions missing the copy protection.

Great - now how's about fixing every computer in America that they fucked up? (Mine isn't one of them - I refuse to buy any disc that treats the consumer as the enemy.)

Add_em: If I remember right, the Foo Fighters disc had a different program on it - not the nasty one that Sony is getting rightfully slammed for. I understand that if you have the right software, getting past that particular program is like running a hot knife through butter. (At least I know what to request for Christmas now.)
