Screwed up the paint job something fierce, but was mainly trying out the new metal stamp lettering technique:

Oh there's specks and crap everywhere, big chip on one of the corners, a bubble that formed while I was baking the paint on, etc etc etc. I'm hoping I can just sand it down and throw a new coat on there. Plus to do things right I really have to spray a clear coat of enamel over the whole thing to protect it...

You should get into building it's really fun! A little frustrating occassionally, and expensive depending on what type of things you want to build, but still very very fun. My next thing I want to build is an ElectroHarmonix SmallClone...

it seems a lot like beer making- in the semi-expensive and sometimes frustrating parts.
only you can't drink a pedal. perhaps i should make a drinkable pedal.

and from the pic, i like the paint job. it's imperfect, and looks real.
and small clones are supposed to be wicked. i use those boss ce-2 chorus pedals with the MIJ black label; the ones i got were only about $40. nice warm chorus- the small clones are supposed to be crazy! that should be hard. my brain can't wrap around the bigger circuits. a fuzz is about all i could comprehend right now.

My understanding of the workings of these thigns is still pretty limited, but I'm learning alot. I'm still a bit in the "paint-by-numbers" stage, but gradually I'm getting it, and getting to the point where I can diagnose and fix non-working pedals instead of getting irked and tossing them...

i have an old ibanez analog phaser that needs a new battery clip soldered on.
my soldering skills are so remedial they're fetal. a guy i know here is working on a ring modulator pedal- has been ever since i met him.

I love making pedals, I've never been able to really do anything outside of plain old distortions though.

If it wouldn't be a problem, could you post the schematics?
