CAVALERA CONSPIRACY

I think Max said in some interviw that new Cavalera Conspiracy album will be made. Late 2010-2011 I think.

Looking foward to new Soulfly. Max said it will be shorter and more aggressive songs which I like.

Depends what you're into. I'd say their best work is Dark Ages (2005) and Conquer (2008) which are essentially thrash metal albums. Prophecy (2004) is kind of thrash/groove metal, their first album (Soulfly, 1998) was very experimental, Primitive (2000) was nu metal, and Soulfly 3 (2002) was nu metal/groove type stuff. So depending on what you're into really, though if I were you I'd start from the beginning so that you get an idea of what their progression was like - if you start with their last three efforts then their earlier stuff will sound less appealing if you know wat I mean. I havea feeling you'll appreciate all of it, bu I'd say listen to all six records from beginning to end in order. In fact...

From "Soulfly"

From "Primitive"

From "Soulfly 3"

From "Prophecy" (This is a medley, 'Refuse/Resist' is played before they go into 'Execution Style' so be patient)

From "Dark Ages"

From "Conquer"

Enjoy!

I have to say Max is great live. Seen Soulfly twice and Cavalera Conspiracy once and and all 3 gigs were awesome.

Also, I'd recommend "Unleash" from their latest album Conquer:

My favorite :D

BTW, I remember Max saying in some interview he wants Mike Muir to guest on the new album. Hasnt asked him yet tho but I should be interesting.

Eh, the lyrics are annoying and repetitive in the songs you posted Dave. Eye for an Eye was just bad :(
Conquer is cool though. Might pick up Conquer when I get a chance.
