Souls of Black re-recorded for Guitar Hero IV

It could be fun, Souls of back has one of the best guitar solos Testament have written - short and beautiful!

I do believe this though, bands are doing this a lot more now. Kiss just re-recorded a bunch of songs for use in commercials and I wouldn't be surprised if they got their own guitar hero like Aerosmith too.

Badass

you know, i have some friends that play this and as much time as they spend, they could prolly play the real thing.....that alright with me though...sure glad rock band/guitar hero are around...gets the kid on the right music path and off the hip hop...thank god for that.

Maybe Testament will re-record a bunch of songs form Practice and Souls and release it like they did with First Strike Still Deadly.

The Farter, it would be great if they re-recorded Practice and Souls like that. These are the albums that suffered from bad production the most and they're brilliant, underapreciated albums.

It's more important to rerecord the rest of the old school songs..Apocalyptic City, Raging Waters and Curse of the Legions of Death...but i think its most important to focus on a new live DVD, touring and new album(s)

I think they should just remix and remaster the first 4 albums the same way Megadeth did. I think for the most part those came out pretty good. Only Testament would have Andy Sneap do it. Maybe even "The Ritual" too. and throw in "Live at Eindoven" as a bonus disc somewhere. Wishful thinking i guess.

Yeah, wishful thinking. That's the reason they did FSSD- because Atlantic Records wouldn't let them remix the old ones. They should keep importuning them, though. Perhaps the record company will smell the easy money and allow the band to remix their own albums.

Personally i think Sneap should Remix and Remaster every (except the ones hes done from the start) The man is just brilliant. I been praising him ever since The Gathering. Hes done AMAZING stuff in the metal community.

Him and Machine are my favorite producer's right now. They are churning out unbelievable sounding stuff

I couldn't agree with you more, i also think Andy Sneap should mix anything and everything that has to do with metal. All of his work is just brilliant. Look what he did with the BLAZE albums they sound monster.

Bumped this back up. Anyone know if the guys in fact re-recorded Souls of Black? A more important question is will the new version make it to a single or other release? (For those of us who are Guitar Zeros instead of Guitar Heroes :p)
