SPLIT HEAVEN: New Singer, New Logo

Mexico's SPLIT HEAVEN recently parted ways with singer Eli Valenzuela. The band has now announced the addition of Gian Carlo Farjat as their new singer.

"We think Gian Carlo's voice is perfect for the new things we are doing; he has an amazing vocal range so he doesn't have problems with the songs we did with Eli and for the new stuff of Split Heaven he is doing those agressive heavy metal vocals we were looking for. Although we have only played a bunch of times with him, we are very excited with the sound we are getting in the rehearsal room. Thanks to everybody who supported us in this time of change and wait for our new album. It's coming soon, we promise."

The band has started working on the follow-up to their 2011 album, Street Law, with the new album due to be released in 2013.

Mexican Heavy Metal band Split Heaven, will be showing the first single from their last production “The Devil´s Bandit” on august 21st at 9:00pm (Central Mexico Time) through the famous Metal web page www.metalrules.com and the official band’s social networks. In the same day, they will also reveal the cover art work of the upcoming material.

Split Heaven says: We are very happy to show all our fans a preview from what we think it will be our best album until now. Giancarlo’s vocals fits perfectly and it has made our music so much heavier. We know our fans will love it.

The band’s third album will be released with the international label Pure Steel Records from Germany, with whom they released their second work Street Law in 2011. The Devil’s Bandit was recorded in the band´s hometown city Queretaro and mastered by Achim Koehler in Germany, who’s know for working with bands like Primal Fear , Brainstorm , Amon Amarth and Sodom.

The band recently played in Vive Latino Festival 2013 one of the biggest Latin American festivals and in 2012 the band returned from their second tour around Europe where they played in the renowned Heavy Metal festivals Swordbrothers in Germany and Metal Mania in Netherlands."

As always Split Heaven is keeping it true, this time with “Painkiller” style double bass drumming, “Thundersteel” style guitar melodies, and glorious NWoBHM style solos. This album features an uptempo smasher “Speed Of The Hawk”, the spanish fistpumper “Descarga Letal” as well as the striking opener “Death Rider”.
