Split up songs! Really cool.

I stumbled upon a youtubers account where the user splits up tracks into seperate drum, guitar, bass, and vocal tracks. I think its really interesting because we can hear how a lot of more known songs sound before they're all put together. Check it out!

What really interests me is how the vocals sound! Really cool stuff. Also for disecting the drum parts its excellent. I wonder how he does this?

Do you think it's possible to do it with free software like Audacity? I love transcribing music and being able to break up a track into bass, drums, keys, guitar etc. would be a great help.

If it comes with graphic EQs with adjustable Q and lots of bands, yeah, you can do it.
