So, someone hires you to record them. Do you have a boilerplate contract that specifies rights and licenses, defines roles (producer, AE, etc) and proper attribution, and even royalties?

Or do you just take your fee and be done with it?

I thought about just taking one of the creativecommons things, but they do not specify sound recordings.

I don't really care about per-unit royalties, but if someone I record wins an award, I want my black tie dinner, dammit :heh:
 
You should also add this...

Wannabes, posers, annoying girlfriends and drunken family members will be considered hostile and dealt with accordingly.

"Not responsible for accidental or intended bodily harm and/or disability that may take place in studio, including but not limited to issues caused by malfunctioning equipment, unforeseen consequences of gravity, or wild swings with sledgehammers" seems essential on top of the usual money stuff, but I suppose that fatties can be an issue as well.
