This one was really funny and still is!
Matt once posted a picture of the drumkit he used for that song to get the best possible original sound :D

Snare for St. Anger! :)

Oooooooooooh, what a good band we are
Back from the brink of extinction, it seemed
Oooooooooooh, we play downtuned guitars
And boy it sounds "raw" to intentionally sing out of key
Back to our roots
These songs are long
And there are fast parts
So that automatically means that they're good!
DOUBLE BASS-AAAAAH!!!
Back to our roots
Complex just like "...Justice!"
Complex just like "...Justice!"
Bob says that we are a jam band
And should write everything here on the spot
So I'm making all of this up as I go along
To capture these moments of genius
Listen to how well the songs flow!
Every part makes sense and is there for a reason
Well, I was in rehab
I'm an invisible outcast
I wanna cry, cry, cry
Life is so hard for me
No, Daddy, no!
Bob, help me!
Kill Kill Kill Kill Kill Kill!

As an aside, how did Matt get his voice to sound almost exactly like Hetfield? Also, at Theocracy, put this song up in your mp3 section on your website so we can download it easier!

Maybe he should give LaBrie lessons in case they want to cover Master of Puppets again....my only complaint with that performance is the vocals....it would have been much better had he just sung naturally.

:p

Heh. Yeah, LaBrie's kind of a mediocre singer. He's definitely not bad -- in fact, compared to a lot of singers he's really good -- but his voice isn't that distinctive; it's kind of generic. If I wasn't a diehard DT fan I wouldn't really be able to tell his voice apart from a lot of other prog/power metal singers.

I just ran across a video on youtube using Matt's parody audio with Metallica video and titled "Lost Metallica song". A year's worth of comments and no one identified the true author (don't worry, I did!).

For a second there, I thought it was the actual Metallica playing the song, and I was very happy. Then I realized it was just playing over footage of the band.
