Start a new band with Ripper Owens?

Why not put Anthrax on ice and do something new...Frank, Scott, Charlie, starting fresh with Ripper Owens at the helm... He sounded great when he sat in on Caught In a Mosh and Scott always talked about how it was a crime that he wasnt in a bigger band...plus live he could sing tunes form Priest, anthrax and brand new stuff....

Rippers great. However i Believe he's currently tied up with Iced Earth.

They are writing and recording 2 albums back to back. Ripper has said he's Iced Earth for the long run... or at least till SChaffer tires of him

I like Ripper, but I don't like him in Iced Earth, I didn't like him in Priest ,and I would hate him in Anthrax. He's an awesome singer, and he's a good front man, but, I don't like how he is always popping up in other bands that were around before him! His Beyound Fear stuff, that I liked.

Becasue it's fun to say. It just rolls of your tounge and you can't help but smile when you say Ripper owens. Seriously, I fucking dare you to say Ripper Owens out loud with out smiling, it can't be done.

HA HA When I saw them with 'Thrax that's exactly what I was thinking, what's with the air boxing? It's kind of silly, the guy can sing his ass off though.

he really can ......... I am a big fan of Halford, but, Ripper is certaintly capable of filling in his shoes. You can't say that about too many people. But yeah, hahahahahaha, the air boxing was freaking funny as all hell. Sometimes when I play out with my band, I will do that just to get a rise out of some of my friends in the audience.
