Still finishing up the writing of one song and working out all the different layers and how they fit harmonically. It's a lot of fun so far. We're in G and the Eclipse sounds surprisingly good for the tuning. The Loomis sounds tighter but hollow in comparison, although it's still decently thick sounding. We're going for real drums rather than the midi in this clip although we'll probably sample the kick and reinforce the snare. Wish I had a bigger room/better mics to work with!
We're looking into third party mastering for it so if anyone's interested get in touch. We're not decided yet so it's mainly speculative. I'll keep this updated/keep a diary of the recording process if anyone's interested in seeing how it goes or likes the music.
