American metallers STEEL PROPHET will release their long-awaited new album, "Omniscient", at the end of June / beginning of July on limited-edition digibook CD, standard CD, limited-edition double LP and digital formats via Cruz Del Sur Music. The effort's spectacular artwork was specifically created for "Omniscient" by German artist Timo Würz and represents one of the central themes of the album: "The Tree of Knowledge." "Omniscient" is a concept album based on an original story written by lead guitarist and founding member Steve Kachinsky Blakmoor, and "The Tree of Knowledge" displayed on the cover represents a very important "character" in the plot. Following Blackmoor's suggestions, Würz has also created 12 additional, original panels that will guide the listener through the whole story. Blackmoor says: "It was great to work with Timo. His sense of form, color and space are impeccable. He has great imagination, and his familiarity with the concepts we wanted to work with made it a perfect fit in bringing the story ideas to life." STEEL PROPHET needs no introduction to the heavy metal world: with a long history, the band is particularly known for the technical and versatile guitar work of founding member Steve Kachinsky Blakmoor. And let's not forget the soaring vocals of Rick Mythiasin, who has returned to sing with STEEL PROPHET for the first time since 2002's "Unseen" album."Omniscient" is a conceptual, science-fiction-themed album, with a heavy dose of unusual philosophies and ideas, that will appeal to all fans of STEEL PROPHET's early works, especially the "Dark Hallucinations" period. This new album will have a visually outstanding package that will read like a graphic novel to highlight the story that underlines the music.
