Whenever people talk about classic rock, it's always the same bands, and never Steely Dan. Why not? I think Steely Dan are way up there in the best rock bands of the 70s. If you don't know their output that well, start with Countdown to Ecstasy. It's an incredible album, from start to finish. If you like guitar solos, you'll love the album. Most of their songs have at least 2 guitar solos.
