Los Angeles-based guitarist Stuart Smith, a classically-trained former axeman for the bands SIDEWINDER and HEAVEN & EARTH and current member of STEVE PRIEST'S SWEET, was visiting Chile with his family at the time of Saturday's massive magnitude 8.8 quake, one of the strongest on record.
