Steve Vai on the Harmonica

sick.. still sounds like a squealing door somehow, but that's not his fault :)

The harmonica kind of blows my mind. It's one of those things that makes you think "how hard could it be?" ...until you actually pick one up and try to play it.

It's also probably the only instrument that makes you look like you're having a spaz-fit while not actually doing anything.

I dislike this song even more now (up there with Stairway to Heaven)

I'm of the mindset that the harmonica is a marvel of modern invention yet not of modern times - it's probably the most portable of musical instruments, capable of expressing almost any mood be it everything from somber and sad to angry and aggressive, it can be played loud, it can be played soft, it fits in well with a band or simply all by itself.

I have a Hohner Marine Band 1896 harp that I've had for years that has traveled with me to more places than even my wife - take it with me everywhere.

I LOVE harp but this did nothing for me. I was kinda disappointed really. When I read the title I got rather excited but I only watched half and had to turn it off lol. I appreciate the talent it takes to play the harp well but his note choices were interesting at best in parts. I know a cover doesnt have to be note for note but at the least it should be in the right key throughout.
