Who mixed? I know the bass sounds great on my piece of shit laptop speakers.

No answers for you but thanks for letting me know they have something new out! I don't know how Jim makes his Orange sound like that. He's a good player for sure and has great gear but the album tones are like the opposite of what I'd expect his gear to sound like. :)

Orange happen to be one of my least favorite amps and I'm always amazed at how good they're able to make 'em sound in the mix. They never disappoint with their mixes.

Um, this isn't even out yet as far as I'm aware, other than the teasers?

Also, wrong section.

Yeah, sorry about the wrong section. Hopefully someone will move it.

I've only heard the two streaming songs.

I hated the last album, just hearing the teaser gives me some hope though! Stone Sour always seemed like a band that never FULLY realized its potential (and maybe never will), but was still a very talented band in their own right. Looking forward to hear the rest!

I've loved the teasers, though to be honest I wasn't listening focusing on the production, just the songs.

I think the full album is out in about a week? Really looking forward to it tbh as though the last album was a bit of a let down they've wrote some really strong stuff in the past and the songs released so far are great!

Haven't heard the whole album, but I've been listening to Gone Sovereign (Absolute Zero) quite a bit lately...:headbang:

Some of the guitar tones are a bit fuzzy for my taste but the overall mix is pretty good.

Corey's vocals are really good, makes me realise how absolutely sick I am of the growly stuff.

i only heard the single that was released some time ago...sounded absolutely uninspired and boring...

EDIT: haha ok i remember now, it was "Gone Sovereign/Absolute Zero" well the song is not that bad actually but the solo is like the crappiest solo i ever heard

Gave it a few spins, nothing really stood out, somewhat boring album. Sure, great production, but that's about it, no hooks, all choruses sound one-dimensional. Just another Hard-Rock record.
