strange Allmusic.com review of AE

The reviewer is comparing AE to 70s/80s arena rock due to its pop sensibility. I'm a little clueless with that, so does it make sense to you?

Actually, the first time I heard AE I thought instantly of arena rock. I completely agree with that review, and think it's the best I've seen on allmusic in a while (that's not saying much).
