Wacken TV has uploaded professionally filmed video footage of Finnish metallers STRATOVARIUS performing their new song "Shine In The Dark" on July 31at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany. Check it out below. STRATOVARIUS's new album, "Eternal", was released in three formats: standard CD jewelcase, limited deluxe edition (CD + DVD mediabook incl. live video tracks recorded at Loud Park in Japan) and double vinyl gatefold. "Eternal" track listing: 01. My Eternal Dream 02. Shine In The Dark 03. Rise Above It 04. Lost Without A Trace 05. Feeding The Fire 06. In My Line Of Work 07. Man In The Mirror 08. Few Are Those 09. Fire In Your Eyes 10. Lost Saga Coinciding with the release of "Eternal", STRATOVARIUS premiered the official music video for their single "My Eternal Dream". Directed by Mariano Biasin, the clip deals with one of the world's recent burning issues realized in stunning cinematic visuals, as well as a powerful performance from the band filmed in Argentina and Finland. STRATOVARIUS's last three albums — "Polaris", "Elysium" and "Nemesis" — were released close to each other as the consequence of the renewed creative energy the band gained following the arrival of new members, guitarist Mattias Kupianen (prolific songwriter and producer of all the albums, including "Eternal"), virtuoso bass player Lauri Porra, and the young talent Rolf Pilve, one of the best drummer of his generation who had to replace Jörg Michael after the latter decided to move into a new role in STRATOVARIUS management. STRATOVARIUS's previous CD, "Nemesis", included the single "Unbreakable", which became one of the most streamed songs ever released by the band. Timo Kotipelto (vocals) and Jens Johansson (keyboards) proudly carry the torch of the glorious STRATOVARIUS tradition, but now many fans of the band consider the current lineup "classic STRATOVARIUS." "Since 'Polaris', we have released a new studio album pretty much every two years," reflects Jens Johansson, "but after 'Nemesis', we all decided to take a little bit of time off after we finished the world tour. Now we're all tanned and rested and it's about fucking time to get back into the saddle. Everybody has been busy the last few months writing lots of new songs, and only the best has been recorded for 'Eternal'."
