Hearing these songs with a real recording budget is just fucking awesome. Plus, unlike a lot of thrash bands from that era, Chuck Billy hasn't lost his voice.

He lost his voice of the 80s, and grew a pair I love the brutal edge he gives to the classic songs now, I think he sounds better now than ever!

Another cool thing about that album is getting to hear Zetro on a couple tracks

Yeah, he sings on Alone In The Dark and Reign of Terror on there, since those songs are from when he was with them

He absolutely tears up "Alone in the Dark".

Yeah the production of this record is pretty damn impresive, not too many bands have been able to pull off re-recording of old tracks, the only other that comes to mind would be Iced Earth with the "Days of Purgatory" cd.

Ironically, I was going to mention Days of Purgatory as that's been in my car cd player for a good while now. But I've been running to Night of the Stormrider, my favorite of IE songs.
