Thanks Saxiquine, seeing how you have THE inside scoope on the outcoming record could you at least hint of the sound? I sincerely hope it goes in the spirit of "Great Deceiver" cause that song keeps on growing. The artwork... will it be by Mattias Norén?

And lastly, how does Tom find the time to co-run a studio while spearheading with Evergrey?

...."Tom is the lead vocalist of Evergrey and has produced and co-produced several albums amongst which the 3 latest Evergrey-albums and appeared on several albums beyond that. his role here is more of a producer and an objective eye that has the ability to motivate persons as he himself many times has been in the same situation when it comes to recording albums."

Well as far as I know, Evergrey is the first band to record anything in that studio.
I think they have done one or two mixes before after it got up and running.
As for the sound on the upcoming album I have to say that it sounds great even though I just heard the unmixed material so far.
But I don't think anyone will be dissapointed.
And I do think Mattias will do the artwork this time also... maybe there is some info on his website? http://www.progart.com .

Who will do the mixing on this album? Bearing in mind some critisism on "rec day", that it didn't have the edge that "In search" had. Hopefully Tom and the guys will put out a sample for the simple people to ogle over!

They will do it themselves together with their soundengineer Arnold Lindberg.
And I'm sure it's gonna be great this time.

where did you find this?

Hi!
Yes it's busy times. Both the Evergrey packages and the Ayreon packages must be ready soon.

Anyway, the cover is ready and I'm working on the booklet now. Just don't expect it to be one more in the style of "In Search" or "Recreation". Tom had some other wishes this time and I doubt that you will even see that it's one of my jobs. But It will work great with the concept and that's the important thing.

Thanks for the update Mattias. Seen some of the Ayreon artwork already on the Ayreon website, great job again!

Maybe an idea for Evergrey, give us a preview of the albumcover already (so we don't have to find it in magizines first, hehehe :p )

I first discovered Evergrey this weekend (unfortunately) - we were watching Headbangers Ball - (I don't usually watch MTV because of the crap they usually have)-- the band is absolutely remarkable unbelievable -- I can't wait to see them live....

A question for all you US-folks!

How many times have they aired the Blinded video by now?
It seems that more and more people joins the Evergrey forum after seeing this video so I guess it has been aired more than once or twice on MTV?

Well, so far I've seen it twice but I'm sure it is on more often than that. I just can't stand to sit through the rest of the "slog" that passes for music waiting to hear the good stuff. Everyone in the US knows that Headbangers Ball is a big joke now- but still we watch....

I think its been aired twice on Headbangers Ball, I'm not sure if Fuse has picked it up yet for Uranium.
(oops) sorry for the repost someone beat me by a minute :)
