I'm currently being offered a pair of these at a reasonable price. Can anyone who has used them tell me if you think they're worth the cash? Also, how do think they compare to the pre's on things like the Presonus Firepod or mid-priced Mackie boards like the VLZ series? Just curious if they'd be worth picking up...thanks!

i have one and use it alot on vocals and guitars. its not necissarily better or worse than the others you mentioned, just different. ive found it to be useful though. for the price i think it is very good.

I got one for $99. Definitely worth the price. My other pre is an Audiobuddy. They both have their use. My vocals seem to cut through my mixes more with the VTB1 than they did before. That's about all I can say right now. I haven't had it for too long.
