Ok, maybe I'm an oddity, but I always considered Skid Row to be glam rock shit, lumped in with the putridness of Poison and Warrant. I mean, yeah, morons who knew no better considered them metal, but not real metal fans. At least, that was my view at the time they were popular.

I guess that really isn't related so much to this thread as it is to the general sentiment I hear about Skid Row being a real metal band. I keep wondering when that happened.
