Subjekt 2 Change. What the hell is that you ask? Another hybrid rap/metal act? While the name might not turn you on, believe me I thought I knew what was inside too. I was pleasantly surprised by the opening track, which sounded like a instrumental Maiden meets hard-core track. Musically it got me interested in what else they had going on. This three piece from Seattle have metal & hard-core roots & it is very evident by the 13 tracks found within. While some might write them off as just another "NU" band, they do have the potential to be part of the latest wave of metal. The tracks are well written, the riffs are unforgettable & the band is tight. With a record deal & a well seasoned producer behind the boards they guys could become "something" that’s highly regarded in the underground scene. If you like D.R.I., The Accused, Dead Kennedys, Dick Dale, S.O.D., The Misfits & classic heavy metal, this band is right up your alley.
