Oops...didn't mean to submit that. Anyways, I was just listening to A Bolt of Blazing Gold, when I realized that I really really like the acoustic part at the end. Can anyone suggest anything that sounds remotely similar (bands, songs, anything)?

And buy In Flames' Subterranean MCD, it has a song called Ever Dying, which has a similar acoustic ending, one of my all time fave IF songs btw... This MCD also has an entirely acoustic track called Timeless in the same style. Actually Lunar Strain has been re-issued with this MCD as bonus, so just buy that and you'll have all!

Another song like that is "Perennial Quest" by Death, from the "Symbolic" album (a must buy, but then you propably already have it...).

Try checking out SUIDAKRA, they're a great band from Germany which have some similar stuff.

speaking of amorphis, checking out "elegy" and "weeper on the shore" (sp? was it "at the shore", maybe?) would do you good, especially if you need to feel seriously mesmerized.
