So my bass player wants to get an SVT-18 because he plays a detuned 5-string and doesn't have a big enough car to haul an 8x10 around. We were also hoping to stay clear of the SVT-15, because of the lower power and wimpier low frequency response. He currently has an Ampeg SVT-410HE, which is one without the ports and is 8ohms, handles 400 watts RMS/800 program. Would this be a decent pair or cabs to power with an SVT-4, running it at 3ohms or whatever it would be?
