Has anyone else heard this? I'm not the biggest StS fan, but I'm just spinning this for the first time and I'm impressed. Certainly an interesting listen. I don't know the general opinion of them on this board, but your thoughts?

I heard the whole song (it's only one 30ish min song, right?) on a Finnish radio broadcast a few weeks ago, and was blown away. Absolutely the best they've done since The Morning Never Came, which was masterful!

Yeah I thought that to, tbh I thought ghosts of loss was a bit of a dissapointment after TMNC, and Hope was an improvement, but this is back to the quality of their debut. Maybe better, it's growing on me. If this is an indication of their next album, we're in for a treat!

They deserve the praises they get.

Ghots of Loss is the best release so far imo.
Cant wait to hear this EP.

3. The Morning Never Came is really easy to get into compared to Ghosts of Loss. Same goes for the last one.
4. The 30minute EP is devided in 3 parts.

5. You like Daylight Dies but not StS? Wtf?

5. oh yes, Daylight Dies strikes me as more of a doom band in atmosphere and overall sound which suits me more than the sneaky melodeth passages StS puts in here and there

So, when are we going for .6? This is one interesting discussion style

5. So you are telling me that DD is'nt melodic? HAHA! Its just that their melodies are so boring that your ears filter them after like 1.5 track. The difference is that StS actually comes up with interesting riffs and melodies that doesnt sound exactly the same through the whole album.

of course they're melodic. but they're melodic in a Doom sense rather than going into melodeth territory like Swallow The Sun always does. DD comes across as a band with more feeling really, while StS is more of a catchy band.
