Symphony X- Paradise Lost

^^^

I actually wish I hadn't listened to those... it only makes the wait worse.

What I heard was definitely awesome though, and I can't wait to hear the whole thing!

Now this is the kind of album that makes me feel proud of listening to and supporting the art of metal music.

Definitely a must buy

It actually is very different for Symphony X, heavy as hell!

I'm writing this whilst listening and I'm on Domination.

Only thing I notice so far is that the chorus's aren't as "sing a long" as they used to be.

Still absolutely amazing stuff though!

Oh don't worry I will be purchasing my copy as soon as it comes out, I just needed to hear it prior to release, especially since they will be playing some of it in NYC that i have tickets to :heh:

I hate myself for listening to those samples. All the heavy parts sound exactly the same, and I know I wouldn't notice that if I was hearing it all in context. Even though they're just MP3s so it's hard to judge, but the production sounds better than The Odyssey, but still doesn't have the warmth that V had. I really can't wait to own this and pass proper judgment.

I have yet to hear this album. I to intend to check it out. But I’m honestly more excited about other bands albums. While I am a fan of the band, I thought their last few albums were not as good as “Twilight In Olympus “ was. To me that was just by far their best album period. Some of you may flame me for that, and heck my own brother likes one of the albums after that better. But there’s just something in it that truly caught me that the others haven’t yet. I don’t know…

I am planning(along with the members of ETX) on seeing them in July in Mokena Illinois, with Echo’s Of Eternity & Sacred Dawn.

Anyways,
Can anyone give me the release date of the album please?
Thanks!

Never before has all the hype and all my personal anticipation for an album paid off so beautifully and completely.

Seriously, never. Everything metal should and can be, right here.

It's pretty much exactly what I expect from SX - it doesn't break any new ground, but it's still great chops and great singing. I'll be glad to add it to my collection when it's released.
