Great review! Amazing album!

The only thing i don't like that much is the sound of Romes Esp. It could be far better. It sounds like recorded with a small 40W Amp where the mids are turned to the maximum.

But everything else is just amazing. I love SymphonyX and this is on of their greatest albums.

Very good and thorough review. Symphony X is one of my favorite bands by far and The Odyssey is definitely one of their best albums. Romeo is so amazing. I watched him play/teach on a Japanese show called Young Guitar and was in awe. I've seen Symphony X three times this year already and I can't wait until they come around again.

The Odyssey is such an amazing composition, it seems you just call it wanking because you: a. don't understand the music. or b. don't know what wanking is.
I'm assuming that it is the former

Honestly, Symphony X is one of my favorite bands, but I find this album to be way overrated, I think it's their weakest since their debut, besides the incredible title track.
