You can tab guitars in Logic, I haven't used it much since guitar pro is much easier to work with.

is there a software capable of transforming recorded guitar (wave) to tabs automatically. or is this possible with guitar pro?

Yeah, there is an option within Cubase, right next to 'Mix now!' command, just right click on the Wave file in question.

Joking aside, you could convert it to midi through Variaudio/Melodyne/AT and then export it as midi file and import it to Guitar Pro. I've done this to a solo guitar this one time b yusing Variaudio, 'cause I wanted to add synths to play along with the solo guitar, and it worked surprisingly well. Was off a DI track though, dunno how it'd react to a rec'd distorted guitar track.
