1) I'm on Tim's side. Stuff like Spotify, iTunes, Voddler, Netflix etc have made it pretty easy to hear a song or see a movie of your choice legally.
2) Protesting against this only a day before the bill is being passed or not is just stupid, you should've started protesting against it months ago, constantly.
3) I don't live in the US anymore, so I really couldn't give a fuck if your internetz gets censored because of stupid people doing illegal stuff. All the internet censorship in China aka "The Great Firewall of China" hasn't affected me in ANY way since 1998 that it started. And if you didn't know;
Internet censorship is NOT a new thing. This is the current situation:
Dark Pink: Pervasive censorship (A large portion of content in several categories is blocked.)
Light Pink: Substantial censorship (A number of categories are subject to a medium level of filtering or many categories are subject to a low level of filtering.)
Light Yellow: Selective censorship (A small number of specific sites are blocked or filtering targets a small number of categories or issues.)
Dark Yellow: Under surveillance (It is suspected, but not confirmed, that Web sites are being blocked.)
Green: No evidence of censorship
Gray: Not classified / No data
Also if you have ever attended a college or similar institution in the States, internet censorship is happening there too, at least in forms of pornography, piracy and similar websites. Took me a good month to find a website where streaming worked like it was supposed to.
