Take This Life on Guitar Hero 3

The song is decent. But I do wish it was an older tune.

Moonshield would probably be really fun to play. Worlds Within the Margin would be pretty great also.

I really don't like playing it. It's just not fun. It seems very plain.

I could play Raining Blood all day though. And I don't even like Slayer that much.

The first thing I do when I get to my room is turn on my 360 and play Take This Life on expert. Once you get the first riff down, its such a fun song to play

Just played the demo of it at Hastings not even 10 minutes ago, just got home. I can only succeed at GH on Easy... I enjoy the game, but it's bloody difficult. But yeah, I think the band that did the cover was pretty atrocious, I think it's stupid that the album artists don't do the songs on GH... the covers are normally pretty bad, especially the vocal work. Not a terribly hard song though. (remember, I am the master of Easy mode)

According to what I understand, album artists don't actually do the music for the game, due to some stupid copyright concern or another. I do know that every single song on GH2 was done by a cover band, I played every single song on that game and not a single one sounded like the band that originally did the song. As for GH3... maybe I was wrong. I mean, I was playing the demo in Hastings, there was a bunch of crap going on, I couldn't really hear properly. So yeah...

Well Its really Dragonforce on there and really Killswitch and The Gallows and Rise Against so Im pretty sure its them. Like one hundred percent. Just chalk it up to old age, thats what I do.

Alright yeah, finally got my hands on GH3 and I beat it yesterday. Yeah, those WERE the album artists. But I can tell you with absolute certainty that on GH2, one of two scenarios is undoubtedly true:

Either those were not the album artists, or they did some SHITTY live recordings, 'cause GODDAMN that entire game, none of the songs sounded right.

But yeah, sound quality, music, etc. on number 3 was fucking fantastic. Loved the game, especially the end battle and credits sequence. Fucking epic.

NOTE: I don't care who you are or how many savage death metal mutilation bands you listen to, if you do not like "Devil Went Down To Georgia" you deserve to be shot. 'Nuff said.
