Tempo Change - Pro Tools

Ok, this might be a real lame mistake to be making but, i have a song where the Tempo speeds up half way through, and ive just finished programing the drums now im trying to add the tempo change half way through (to the midi drums).

I tried the tempo change and highlighted the bars for the duration of the tempo change and typed in what tempo i want to change it to, but ''apply' is unavaliable to press...

Anyone have any help they can offer!!

i don't tend to do much tempo work, but instead of hilighting the selection, just spot the playhead where you want it, then click the + on the tempo ruler to add a tempo change.

In your transport bar turn off manual tempo.

click the conductor on your transport window... that'll activate the tempo track... select the section you want to speed up the tempo in the tempo ruler, use the trim or smart tool (move it to the top half and it'll make a trim that faces downward) to move that section UP in speed...
