I'll bring this back, since I'm just listening this first time in a long time. This is just amazing, makes me understand how far my own music is from this. Amazing stuff, very amazing, I can't understand how I've always ranked this above Kauan, altough that is great too.

Although I'm a big fan of Empyriums music, this goes way beyond that, way, way beyond.

:worship:

Depends for who , I love both , but the effects are very different from one to another.. I prefer Weiland over everything Tenhi has released. But overall I might prefer Tehni , I don't know :loco:

Hm... I need to check some songs out. I find that Weiland is absolutely stunning, but there is just something that it's missing (that's how I feel, at least).

Weiland is great album, but still I prefer Tenhi or maybe even Where at Night... Harmaa-debut was also really, really good and if the unreleased song by Harmaa really tells anything about their next album, it's going to be really great!

Harmaa, eh? Never heard of them. I shall look into it.

Re: Weiland - if you took Waldpoesie out of the equation, I might give the nod to Where at Night...

It's difficult to compare Tenhi with Empyirum overall, just because of the first two Empyrium releases. With that said, I still vote Empyrium.

Both great bands.

By the way, the new October Falls release.....*must hold tongue before review is published*

Mikko - on the flyer that comes with Marras, it indicates a special release of 99 copies only. Is this for Marras? And if so, is it still available?

If Weiland didn't have Heimwärts, Fortgang, Waldpoesie, Die Schwäne im Schilf, and Fossegrim then WANTWGP would be better.......:Spin:

I wish they had another song similar to "Pastoral Theme" or "Many Moons Ago" on Weiland...

I probably "connect" more with Empyrium (Weiland) than Tenhi because W. is in German so I can understand a lot of it (although Tenhi has translations...)

And of course German > Finnish (oh yes..)

And of course "Marras" rules...

Enough of my "..."s

Oh? Where at night dosen't get much spins , I wouldn't talk about it as an essential at all in fact

Harmaa is a side project of Tenhi , it follows the Airut : ciwi ,pretty good stuff. Add that on the check list without absolute necessity (that's what I did at least :p)

The title track to Where at Night has some of the most amazing vocals I've ever heard, the rest of that album could be a comprehensive audial study of one man's shartstorm and it would still get a 9/10 score from me.

I have bought both.

In fact, I'll soon be buying more Empyrium on vinyl!!!

Oh what I would give for that Empyrium woodenbox demo....I'd even pay $15 for it. :loco:

Exactly. Myself, if I had to compare Empyrium's two last with Tenhi, I'd take Tenhi. However, if I had to choose, I'd take Empyrium's first two over any of their later or Tenhi.

fuck, something tells me i'm very soon gonna be ordering some Tenhi along with Empyrium-Weiland DLP and Of the Wand and the Moon- I Crave for You 7'' from Equilibrium.
