Leaving Eluveitie / Ausstieg bei Eluveitie

Sevan and I decided to leave the band Eluveitie after 4 years activity. Our last concert will be held at bloodstock festival in England. This decision was not easy for us, since we were allowed to experience beautiful moments in all the years.

Unfortunately there have been several reasons and occurrences which forced us, to let the band continue without us. We're really sorry to bring you such bad news, but there are moments in life, where everyone must look to himself, we hope you'll understand. We want to say thank you, our fans, from our heart, for all the unforgettable times we had together, and wish the band all the best for the future.

Please respect, that we can't answer any questions concerning our exit (due personal reasons).

they were the most vibrant part of their live show. this totally sucks

I thought this was going to be about them recording new music or something based on the thread title.

folk metal > necuratul's favorite band (unless his favorite band is emperor or kastigation)

It has two great songs and the rest are meh or horrible (wtf @ generic melo-death sounding garbage tracks). Still it sucks to see this happen to any band with lots of fans.

I wasn't impressed with them at Paganfest, maybe I'll download their new one.

really? i thought their live show was great. very high energy. although, nothing could top turisas as far as live energy.

i guess im a bit of an eluveitie fan boy though

Yeah they were overshadowed by the awesomeness and epic status of Turisas and Ensiferum. Still, Paganfest was the best show of 08' so far and I have a feeling Carcass is going to top that...

Turisas is fucking awesome live.

Though we kinda ruined their last song. Nygard actually mentions in his tour report in Terrorizer how he kept having to try and sing, crouched, with one hand trying to hold back the people rushing forward :p

well I'll probably never see them live anyways so idc but that first album was sick it was like Jesters Race In Flames meets folk metal...genius
