Tesla guitarist Frank Hannon has shared a new video along with the following message:
“In this video, I talk about the guitars I used to record my latest single. ‘A Hundred Miles’. I start with a Martin D-45 acoustic guitar that I handpicked at the Martin factory. Then I layered a rare 1982 Washburn A-10 12-string electric guitar to get a Byrds-inspired sound. For the lead guitar, I used an SG Custom in the middle pickup position to get a twangy, Eagles-like tone. I’m excited to share more instrumental music with you all soon.”
Hannon recently uploaded a video of the recording of his new guitar instrumental “Walk In The Rain”, which can be seen below.
“This is the actual live take when I recorded it,” states Frank. “It is gonna be part of a 12 song album on vinyl 12” called Reflections coming soon! This is the actual recording session for the lead guitar solo recorded live. I had practiced it a few times, had sort of an idea of what to play, took a break then improvised and recorded this solo from start to finish in one take. It was so fun and is what inspired me to create a whole album of 12 guitar songs coming in May 2025.”
