Sorry guys, as its so important we have to do these things properly and take our time to make sure our true thoughts and feelings are conveyed correctly. Thank you for all your wonderful messages of support and good will. Much Love, TesseracT"

Not a fan of the news. I really liked their former vocalist. I wonder what happened... and I wonder why they couldn't find someone who sounds a bit better.

Sounds like a different style, but a strong singer nonetheless. Sounds alot like Sotelo, Periphery's singer.

From http://www.bravewords.com/news/167647

"Progressive metallers TESSERACT announce that Elliot Coleman has joined the band as lead vocalist. Elliot's huge range, distinctive character and brutal roars demonstrated on his work with OMNOM, SKY EATS AIRPLANE and ZELLIACK made him the perfect replacement for former vocalist, Dan Tompkins. "

I concur ... his clean voice is a little whiny, even a little "blink 182ish," if that makes any sense. The music is tight and his growl voice fits perfect.

Damn, from the sound of the songs posted, I like the old singer better. On the bright side, Dan's the one on the album and I have a feeling it'll be a while before they release another album lol.

It seems like this guy would ruin my absolute favorite TesseracT song, Eden. It's so perfect on the album. Guess I'll have to see them live and hope they play it to find out.

Well that confirms my fears. He lacks all the subtlety and power of Dan.

I'm not going to rule out their next album, but their first album worked so well around his vocals.
