definitely will preorder. the question is whether i go iTunes or go for the 2 disc with the 5.1 surround version as well.

Bruce Soord from Pineapple Thief did the surround mix. would be interesting to hear. not sure how many repeat listens I would get from that, though.

if I had not heard Tesseract before and did not know what they were capable of playing, I wouldn't have given this a second thought. The preview clip is very boring. Slow, simple. But I have heard Tesseract before. So I will follow up.

That sample is why I wasn't particularly thrilled with Dan's return. We're gonna get a whole bunch of drawn out, 30 second, five word lyrics done in his ethereal, slightly beautiful slightly screamy style but not loud enough to actually understand what those words are choruses and bridges. I really liked Ashe, but I guess the touring was a grind.

It's not hitting me as instantly as their previous work, but as a whole it's got more immediate traction than the singles. This is also a shitty week for me to try to focus on what I'm listening to, though.
