Hasy anybody picked this up?

I'm listening to the samples and I like it but doesn't seem to quite convince me. I do like that there's more melody than let say Meshuggah.

I've only listened to it once but I liked it. And yes it is very melodic which will imho appeal to a larger audience. Which could be good or bad depending on one's opinion. There is a lot of good chugging rhythms and some excellent riffing. There is some definite Meshuggah inspiration too. But not a direct copy. My only disappointment was no guitar solos. Everything else was top notch.
