"The Formation of Damnation", the new album from San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal veterans TESTAMENT, sold 11,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 59 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Let me add that it's their 6th time on this chart and a second best place (of course, back in the day bands were selling more than now, but when all lose, proportions count)
A quick look at the history:
Albums:
Number - year - title
136 - 1988 The New Order
77 - 1989 Practice What You Preach
73 - 1990 Souls Of Black
55 - 1992 Ritual
122 - 1994 Low
Singles:
22 - 1993 Return To Serenity - Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart

That's a big success. Congratulations. Let's hope it will keep selling really good

Awesome job!! im so happy for them. They outsold Exodus and Death Angel by so much. They even outsold the Cavalera Conspiracy on their first week! Testament rules and it shows what a solid fan base they have.

It is nice to see TestAmenT that high on Billboard finally.

It is about time!!!!!!!!

I would already have this CD if any musicstore where I live at would carry it.

No musicstore around me carries this CD. Not even the local BestBuy or Circuit City stores.

I will probably have to drive far out of town to get this CD, but I think it is worth the expensive gas to get it, from all the reviews I have read about the new CD!!!
