I love Testament but i really think they should focus on the new album it has taken far too long. And why this reunion ? they should have Paul Bostaph(now Exodus )on drums,Steve Digiorgio on bass and James fucking Murphey on guitar(Why did you leave the band James?)The gathering and Low are their best albums ever, their old albums sounds like crap :worship: (ofcause i like the old stuff)compaered to these masterpiceses.

BS.

No offense to James, but Low is nothing compared to the classics like Practice... and Legacy. Also so far all show reviews I read were amazing, so what exactly is the problem with the reunion?

Testament is not your Thrash super-group, you don't get it choose who plays for them. So you better learn to live with it.

Who's talking about a supergroup that was the lineup (besides James) they had last June when i saw them, they have always been changing members like others change underwear. Its getting ridiculous, i know Chuck has been ill , but it has been 6 years since their last album(who said Guns n' roses?) Alex have only been playing fusion jazz since he left in 93 and i really don't think that it is nessecary to mention that Louie Clemente never was a very good drummer.

i agree, the old albums are good, but in my opinion they are nothing compared to low, demonic and the gathering.

So what if he was playing jazz? Everyone says his performance was amazing in the concerts, why are you crying about it without having an idea?

Louie Clemente is there, just to be there. He plays like 3-4 songs of the set.

They are only doing it for the money just like Anthrax, Kiss etc.I really don't hope this will be the lineup on their next album if they ever do another one.I'm not saying that Alex can't play anymore, everyone knows that his playing kicks ass,i just don't think that anything he has ever done comes close to the level of what James did when he was in the band.Who wants another album like Souls of black or the ritual i know i don't , there was a reason that this lineup didn't last.

Well duh, wake up of course they are doing it for money... God forbid metal musicians make some money while they are still having fun the music they like...

Seen them yesterday!!!
Too bad was a very short set! just an hour!
Show was great, really liked to see Louie on drums after 14 years!!!
The show was based on old stuff!
highlights: Sins of Omission, Raging Waters!!! really great songs!!! I think that was like more than 10 years they didn't play live these tunes.

I see Skolnick can still school on the leads. Personally, I'm a fan of old school Testament. Practice what you Preach is a killer album along with Sous of Black and The New Order. "Low", "Demoic" and "The Gathering" were pretty damn good, just lacked the replay value that I was looking for. Either way, I'd love to see them live, old or new lineup.
