I just got back from seeing The Bourne Supremacy. Holy shit!! A sequel that's better than the original?

(Whoever started that whole handheld shakey camcorder style of filming should be shot. I think it was "NYPD Blue" that started all that motion sickness style of filming....I can't stand it)

Anyway, this could have the second best car chase sequence I've ever seen. Of course, it will take a lot to beat the car chase in Ronin. That one is unbelievable, but still, this is a really close second IMO.

Other cool car chases (without CGI trickery a la Fast and Furious):

Bourne Identity (in the mini)
French Connection (Gene Hackman chasing the train through Brooklyn)
Bullit (Steve friggin' McQueen)
The Man with the Golden Gun (car twists 360 degrees horizontally to jump the river)

So nobody has seen The Bourne Identity, French Connection, Bullit, The Man with the Golden Gun, or any other movie with a car chase?

BORING!

OK, I'll just keep this thread to myself:

Blues fucking Brothers - that one is amazing
Smokey and the Bandit
The Italian Job - the original with all the minis

All of you, take your DVD players, and trade them in for Betamax VCRs. :loco:

Ronin had a few excellent car chases. The car chase as in full force in the 70's action movies you know. God I think every 70's action movie had to have a car chase.

there is a fucking phenomenal car chase at the beginning of a very cheesy Bruce Willis movie ... he play some kind of Coast Guard somewhere on the Mississippi ... if i wasn't lazy i would check imdb.com

Yeah, Striking Distance. That was a terrible film, but it had those few cool moments.

When it comes to action, Bruce Willis is good in the Die Hard movies only. I don't think I've liked his other action movies as much.

James Bond always has good car stunts. That Lotus Esprit in The Spy Who Loved Me was beautiful, so was his Aston Martin in Goldfinger.

What about the car chase scenes in Blues Brothers? Classic, especially with the nazis and Wagners Ride of the Valkyries in the background.

The Last Boyscout is great violent, cussing-for-no-reason over-the-top action.

Best Bruce Willis movie - Unbreakable.
