The Alström Bros Charged and to be Arrested in Frame-Up
Bail set for $1,200 ...
Cambridge, MA - A warrant was issued for the arrest of Jason and Todd Alström, Founders of BeerAdvocate.com, who have been charged by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Lock-up to raise money for Jerry's Kids. "We've been framed!" shouted the brothers as they ran from reporters.
Bail is set at $1,200 and due August 16, which is the day they'll be picked-up by MDA Lock-up deputies, processed and arrested at John Harvard's Brew House in Cambridge, MA.
The MDA Lock-up promised to release them with a clean record if their bail is met in time, and in an phone interview today The Alström Bros announced that if their bail is met they'll match the $1,200 with proceeds from their New England Beer Fest (http://beeradvocate.com/fests/) on October 29 in Boston, MA. "It's important to give back," stated Todd Alström. "And we plan to go above and beyond to make our bail and raise some extra money for the MDA."
